Vtm-4 light and check engine light honda pilot 2011

My 2008 Pilot has had the check engine light on for a while. I know dealer said I need to change the O2 sensor but have not yet. I recently had the VTM-4 light come on after a rain storm. I am not sure if this a factor or not. The light does go off if I shut off car and restart. I have a scanner and the codes I get are: P0138, P0141 and P2271.

My impression is that several systems work together and a problem in one system can cause another to misbehave also. My solution has been to buy an inexpensive reader tool and keep it in the car so if a problem shows it's self I can read it on the road and reset it as needed.
