The 870 isn't bad for the price though, but the Nova surpasses the 870 in performance as I've had cases lodge in the Rem. I have yet to have any cases of lodging in the Nova. When the Nova came out I bought one and sold my 835. I personally prefer the Nova for a few reasons. First, its lighter. Second, I feel it has a better action, and for me it is easier to cycle. My 835 was one of the models that had trouble with the extractor not grabbing the shell when you cycle the action.
