Cons- Doesn't close for meal break, Sometimes only have 1-2 techs max (sometimes none), System is outdated & not user friendly ( a lot of processes are done manually)Pharmacy technicians and pharmacists both deserve to be paid more for all that they have done and continue to do. Walgreens corporate made $26 billion in profit in 2020 and $28 billion in 2021, so they can obviously afford to compensate their workers better and have chosen not to. Archived post.

NOTHING comes in and Rx's will be stuck in cenfill status for days, and never fulfilled. Some days we won't even get a central fill shipment in, and most days we have only 2 rx's in the shipment. But since leaving and comparing my current company with walgreens made me realize they really took advantage of their employees. No one outside of pharmacy has ever heard of hourly salary. It's basically inventory counting. You count what the machine tells you to count and you enter the quantity. Main tip: accurately report the counts. Smart counts drop onto your Zebra every morning, for pharmacy it's a list of drugs that the company wants you to get an updated count on.Get used to typing and doing EVERYTHING with your keyboard only.
